The WELS is in a death spiral because the demographics just aren't there, and too many who belong to the demographic are turned off by the infighting and other unappealing qualities.
If there's a creamer/condiments station that requires employee attention (stocking, cleaning etc.) design it such that the employees can access it from their area, or at least from the rear. Many, if not most, customers stop at this station, so don't let the employees get in the way of the customers. (There, I said it: nothing personal...love ya to death...but if the employees are in the customers' way, they're in the customers' way.) Caribou at Bayshore does this, at least, correctly.
Thinking Milwaukee needs to go on a Mellencamp fast for a year. That'd be a healthy thing. Yes, the music has aged remarkably well. . .yes, I like his politics. But: fast.
