In concert, it was often the shorter, simpler songs that Genesis fans often like less well that worked best. Other songs, such as "Second Home By The Sea", need the sheer power provided by several hundred thousand watts of amplification to come into their own. Another highlight is hearing Mike Rutherford's bass pedals. The guitarist/bassist would occassionally run forward to his mic position, press a button/pedal with his foot, then run back. I wonder how he defines the length of the bass note—perhaps different buttons/pedals with different sustain times? Speaking of Mr. Rutherford, his performance and evident joy in performing blew away Internet speculation to the contrary. One song near the end of the set ("Domino"?) saw him rocking out with a blistering guitar solo.
