It's been a week filled with Alterra's Colombia Huila Reserva for me. Early in the week, I tried it as a cappuccino at the N. Prospect Ave. location. It was absolutely perfect--clearly better than one prepared with the regular Espresso Toro. Over the following couple of days, I had a couple of mugs of drip brew; on both occasions, it was being offered as the strong coffee of the day. I found it a little too overpowering at that strength, but still exceptional. Thursday, I broke down and bought a pound, as I was out of beans both at home and at the office. I've been brewing it milder there, and it's awesome that way. I think it's one of the best "with-milk" coffees I've ever tasted--so it's logical that the capp was as good as it was. I'll have to make sure to grab another today or tomorrow, before it's too late.
