I try to be an exceptionally polite customer--actually, I don't have to try, it's my nature (others pointed out my politeness before I was aware of it)--so it's rare that I'm treated rudely by service industry folks. It usually hits me once or twice a year, which is rare indeed considering the multiple transactions I engage in every day. I used to think the corner of Brady & Farwell was the Bermuda Triangle of customer service, but now I think that is met or exceeded by the UWM area. I find myself shifting my center of gravity, as it were, back towards Bayshore, but there's almost always that last stop to be made on the way home. There are a couple of fantastic employees who, for whatever reason, work late hours--Kari at Open Pantry and Rayme at Walgreens on Oakland--but then there's everyone else. . .
