Over the weekend, it was good to renew an old acquaintance, the Great Harvest Bread Co. I hadn't been there in ages, because my Mom used to buy all our bread from there many years ago, and I became kind of overexposed to the distinctive taste of their bread. Now, I'm overexposed to Breadsmith from going there all the time myself, so it's good to change things up a little.
I was particulary pleased to see that, like similar stores, they sell granola, but at the reasonable price of about $5.95 for a pound and a half, which is competitive with boxed cereals. Alterra gets the same dough for one pound. City Market recently raised the price to $8.95, which strikes me as exorbitant (they're a bit too pricey for me in general).
